Pineapple

We are eating this tomorrow.

Did you know that if you turn a pineapple upside down (set it on it's leaves) that it will ripen more evenly and quickly? I've done it 3 times now and it works! Fresh pineapple is wonderful! So far the best pineapple has been at Costco.

I didn't know that! I will try it. It looks cute on the counter that way too...bonus!

I used to think that a pineapple would ripen more if left on the counter for a couple of days. Then I heard that a pineapple does not ripen any after it is cut, it just turns more yellow. While I did not believe the old man, tis true! It is on the official Dole site. https://www.dolefruithawaii.com/Articles.asp?ID=143
A pineapple will not ripen any further – get any sweeter – after picking.
